Wakonda wins game with Gayville-Volin by Angelene Crissey The Gayville-Volin Raiderettes came to Wakonda for some Tri-Valley Conference girl's basketball action last Thursday night.
Kim Henriksen led the team with 17 points, 18 rebounds and six steals giving her double-double in two categories. The two senior girls, Andrea Gregoire and Kayla Nielsen, both had eight rebounds. Megan Martz scored 9 points to add while Chelsea Bohlman had five steals. Lindsay Nelson added 8 points in the win.
Valerie Bye led Gayville-Volin with 15 points while Ashley Nelson scored 6 points to help the Raiderettes.
Wakonda also won the B-game. The Warriorettes next game will be in Freeman on Monday night.
