EPJ Huskies fall to Tanagers' JV 30-23 by Jim Prosser The Tanagers downed the Elk Point-Jefferson Huskies 30-23 in boys' basketball Jan. 21 at Elk Point. The Tanagers shot 52 percent from the field.
The Vermillion JV improved its record to 7-2.
Matt Preszler scored 8 points and Jason Donald contributed with 6 points and seven rebounds.
"I thought our two 'big' people had a great game," said Vermillion JV coach Rex Huska.
The Tanagers jumped ahead 7-6 after the first quarter, led 18-9 after the second quarter, and then held a lead of 22-14 after the third quarter.
