Mitchell hosts wrestling invite by Jim Prosser Last Saturday, Jan. 11, the Vermillion Middle School wrestlers attended the Mitchell Invitational Meet, accompanied by assistant coach Joe Delvaux.
Fourteen schools participated in the two divisions ��7, 8, 9 A and 7, 8, 9 B. They were Aberdeen, Bon Homme, Canton, Howard, Huron, Madison, Mitchell, Parkston, Redfield, Todd County, Vermillion, Watertown and Yankton.
Vermillion wrestler results were:
A division � A-3 Casey Carlson 2-2; A-4 Ryan O'Connor 1-3; A-6 Luke Heine 1-2; A-8 Eric McPherson 1-2.
B division � B-2 Tony Hubert 3-1; B17 Raleigh Tiahrt 5-0; B31 Harrison Hawley 2-2.
"These tournaments are great confidence boosters for our kids," Delvaux said. "They have been working hard in practice and are continuing to improve. Their hard work showed today."
