S.D. Public Broadcasting to feature high school championship events Parents, students, teachers and fans will be able to track the results of the February high school championship events including the State One-Act Play Festival, the State Gymnastics Meet and the State Wrestling Tournament on South Dakota Public Broadcasting Online, sdpb.org.
State One-Act Play Festival
SDPB Online will be live in Brandon from Thursday, Feb. 6, through Saturday, Feb. 8, to keep Web site visitors up-to-date on the results of the State One-Act Play Festival. Photos of the performances, lists of participants and individual and team awards can be accessed at the Web site throughout the event and will be archived at sdpb.org following the tournament. The One-Act Play Festival features high school drama groups performing a 30-minute or less play. The thespians present either a humorous or a dramatic show.
State Gymnastics Meet
The State Gymnastics Meet in Huron will be features on sdpb.org Friday, Feb. 21 and Saturday, Feb. 22. Highlighted on the site will be the team and individual standings as well as photos from the event.
State Wrestling Tournament
From Friday, Feb. 27 through Saturday, March 1, SDPB will be in both Aberdeen and Sioux Falls for the State Wrestling Tournament. Fans that log on sdpb.org will feature results from each weight class as well as up-to-date team standings. A live Webcam will enable fans to view the matches live at sdpb.org. Photos from the event will also be featured online.
In addition to the online coverage, South Dakota Public Television will provide live coverage of the Saturday night Class A Wrestling Championship matches from the Sioux Falls Arena. Coverage begins at 7 p.m.
This Web site is part of the SDPB High School Championship Events Online. The project, a collaboration between South Dakota Public Broadcasting (SDPB) and the South Dakota High School Activities Association (SDHSSA), provides live results and a multi-media library on the Web of all high school state championship events. The site at sdpb.org covers fine arts festivals and boys' and girls' athletic events.
