The Waltner Ensemble to perform in Vermillion The Yankton Area Concert Association is pleased to bring the Waltner Ensemble to the Vermillion Middle School on Wednesday, Jan. 15 at 2:30 p.m.
This program is a gift to schools from the concert association and CorTrust Bank of Vermillion. It is their goal to concertize at least 5,000 students in southeastern South Dakota this month. As schools face financial difficulties, the music program is often one area where budget cuts are made. Thus, the Student Concert Committee of the YACA has taken upon itself this task of bringing these mini-concerts into area schools.
The program is titled "From Rossini to the Rolling Stones" and will introduce the students to all types of music; it will be enjoyable for students of all ages. The two sisters and their brother are the children of Mr. and Mrs. Keith Waltner of the Freeman area.
