Viborg Music Boosters plan '50s-'60s sock hop Attend a fun filled evening and take a stroll down memory lane at the Viborg Music Boosters '50s-'60s sock hop. That's right, the sock hop will be held Saturday, Jan. 25, from 7 p.m. to 12 a.m. at the Viborg Community Center.
Concessions will be available and contests will be held throughout the night. Have a poodle skirt you never get a chance to wear? Well, pull it out of the closet and come in '50s style, as one of the contests will be a costume contest. Other contests will be bubble blowing, hula-hoop, and jitterbug.
Bring the whole family to a fun-filled night of dancing and reminiscing. The Viborg Music Boosters are sponsoring the sock hop as a fund raiser for the band/chorus trip to Disney World in Orlando, FL. A raffle for a DVD player will also be held at the end of the evening.
