Engaged Jeanne and Don Dahlin of Vermillion, and Patti and Keith Jennings of Fort Pierre, announce the engagement of their children, Sarah Dahlin and Brian Jennings.
The bride is a graduate of Vermillion High School. She received her bachelor's degree from Wellesley College in 1992 and is currently chief of staff to U.S. Sen. Mark Dayton.
The groom is a graduate of Stanley County High School and graduated from South Dakota State University in 1995. He is a legislative assistant to U.S. Sen. Tim Johnson. The couple resides in Washington, DC, and will be married on Oct. 4 at the United Church of Christ Congregational in Vermillion.
