Financial aid night planned in Irene A financial aid information night for parents of high school seniors will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 11, 7 p.m. at Irene High School. The program is sponsored by Irene High School in cooperation with the South Dakota Association for Financial Aid Administrators.
Jennifer Wubben, financial assistant at Mount Marty College, will explain the financial aid process and how to complete the application. Helpful materials on federal financial aid programs will be available.
The information night is recommended for all families who plan to apply for financial aid for the 2003-04 academic year. The basic application for financial aid, the FAFSA, is free and becomes the basis on which all other decisions about financial aid are made at the awarding institution.
Delora Carson, Irene School counselor, said that programs of this type are being offered only regionally. Parents of seniors from any of the area schools are invited to attend the program at Irene. Adults who are contemplating attending college or technical school are also invited to the program.
Any questions about the scheduled program or financial aid in general may be directed to Carson at Irene High School, 263-3311.
