Care center's beauty salon in style The Sioux Valley Vermillion Care Center on-site beauty salon underwent some recent renovations thanks to a contribution from the Vermillion Civic Council in the fall of 2002.
Funds donated by the Civic Council were also used to purchase a vital sign monitoring system that is used on a daily basis by the nursing staff at the care center.
"Our nursing staff is thrilled to have this equipment to help them better serve our residents," said Amy Thiesse, director of nursing at the care center. "Vermillion is so fortunate to have an organization such as the Civic Council. The board of directors is committed to distributing their funds in ways that help to improve our community and the lives of Vermillion residents."
"A visit to the beauty salon is an important part of the residents' lives. The chance to update the equipment and improve the appearance has brought a smile to many faces," said Liz Anglin, salon hair stylist.
