Lawn, tree troubleshooting clinic scheduled March 13 The South II Extension Educators have scheduled a Lawn and Tree Troubleshooting Clinic to be held Thursday, March 13. The program will be held in two locations.
The programs will begin with Dr. John Ball, SDSU Extension forestry specialist, as he discusses tree management, especially issues related to weather stresses. Then Dr. Marty Draper, SDSU Extension plant pathologist, will discuss identifying and controlling common lawn and tree diseases, as well as management tips to reduce plant stress.
The program will conclude with a panel of Ball, Draper, and the South II Extension Educators, and the public may ask questions of the panel on tree and lawn management.
There is no charge to attend, and all who are interested in tree and lawn issues are encouraged to attend. The first program will be held at Papa's Pizza in Freeman, beginning at 1:30 p.m. Lunch is on your own, so come early and eat lunch, and then come to the north meeting room. At 6:30 p.m., the same program will be offered at the Clay County Extension Office in Vermillion.
