Spring load restrictions implemented Special spring load restriction were implemented at 12:01 a.m. Friday, March 21, on SD 37 from the east junction of SD 37 and SD 50 near Tyndall, south to the junction of SD 37 and SD 52 north of Springfield. The weight per axle may not exceed 7 tons along this route until further notice. All other spring load restrictions in the state are still in effect.
Spring Load Restrictions of 6 tons per axle also were implemented at 12:01 a.m. Tuesday, March 25, on SD 63 from the Jct. of US 18 and SD 63 north to Norris. this route was previously identified as "May Post."
The effective date of the load restrictions is determined by weather and road conditions.
A spring load restriction report is usually issued in advance of any major load restriction change. This report is issued for guidance only and does not take precedence over load restriction signs in place.
