740th Transportation Company deploys overseas The South Dakota Army National Guard now has five units deployed to Southwest Asia.
The 740th Transportation Company of Milbank and Brookings departed Fort Carson, CO, Saturday, April 19, for an undisclosed location in Southwest Asia.
The 109th Engineer Battalion of Sturgis departed Feb. 16. Unit members from the 200th Engineer Company of Pierre, Chamberlain and Mobridge and the 727th Transportation Company from Elk Point, Brookings and Watertown departed April 5. Company B, 109th Medical Battalion of Vermillion departed April 6.
