Ketcham named new director of VACCDC

Ketcham named new director of VACCDC Lisa Ketcham The Vermillion Area Chamber of Commerce & Development Company Board of Directors has announced the selection this week of Lisa Ketcham as the organization's new executive director.

Ketcham has been serving in an interim role since October 2002. Prior to her involvement with the Vermillion Area Chamber of Commerce & Development Company, she managed the Phase 2 Solutions and Gateway call centers in Vermillion.

"After a search and selection process that has taken place over the past few months, we are very excited to name a permanent director for our organization," said Gene Lunn, board president. "Lisa, along with Heidi Peterson, program manager, has done an excellent job over the past few months. We're looking forward to carrying out our future goals and vision with the leadership and energy that Lisa brings to our organization.

"The Vermillion Area Chamber of Commerce and the Vermillion Development Company merged into one organization in December of 2002. We believe that as a combined organization, we can streamline our efforts to achieve more, to increase our efficiencies, and to enhance the services and support that we can provide to our members and to our community."

"I'm excited about my new role. I am looking forward to the partnerships, opportunities, and challenges that we will face together as we work to blend the Chamber and Development organizations, and to enhance our community, our business climate, and our relationships throughout the region and state," Ketcham said. "I truly appreciate the support shown during my interim role. I believe in our community and our state. We have a lot of work to do to ensure progress and future growth.

"We are all stakeholders and with mutual interaction, participation, commitment, and persistence, together, I am confident that we can make 'Vermillion ? The Place To Be.'"
