Mount Rushmore announces hours Chief of Interpretation Jim Popovich has announced that schedule changes for the spring season at Mount Rushmore will take effect beginning Sunday, April 6.
The Memorial's Lincoln Borglum Visitor Center and Museum will be open from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily from April 6 through May 11. The park's Information Center will be open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.
Starting on Mother's Day weekend, Sunday, May 11, the Evening Lighting Program will be presented at the Buffalo Dining Room beginning at 9 p.m. The Lincoln Borglum Visitor Center and Museum will be open until 9 p.m. on those evenings.
The park will launch its full summer schedule on Saturday, May 24. The Lincoln Borglum Museum and Visitor Center, as well as the Information Center, will be open daily from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. The historic Sculptor's Studio will be open daily from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Guided walks on the Presidential Trail and ranger talks at the studio will be presented throughout the day. The Evening Lighting Program will take place every night a 9 p.m. This schedule will be in effect through Labor Day.
The Easter Sunrise Service will again take place at the Mount Rushmore amphitheater beginning at 7 p.m. on April 20.
