Christopher John Roth, 26, Vermillion, died Sunday, March

30, 2003 at his home.

Funeral services were held 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Ray, Cantrell & Wintz Funeral Home, Yankton, with the Rev. Donald Imming officiating. Burial was at 2:30 p.m. in Calvary Cemetery, Mitchell.

Visitation was from 1 to 9 p.m. April 2 at Ray, Cantrell & Wintz Funeral Home with the family present from 7 to 8 p.m.

He was born Jan. 9, 1977, at Sioux City, IA, to Dale and Dorothy (Ketel) Roth. He lived at Sioux City until his family moved to Yankton when he was

2. He attended schools at Yankton and Mitchell.

They lived at Mitchell for five years before returning to Yankton where he graduated from Yankton High School in 1995. He then studied political science at Mankato State College at Mankato, MN, for two and a half years. He later returned to Yankton and worked on building construction.

He had lived at Vermillion for the past two years.

Survivors include his parents, Dale and Dorothy Roth, Lake Havasu City, AZ; his maternal grandmother, Sena Hunsucker, Platte; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his brother, paternal grandparents and maternal grandfather.

Carl Anderson

Carl R. Anderson died March 27, 2003 in DeLand, FL.

He was a graduate of Vermillion High School and the School of Mines in Rapid City.

He is survived by two sons, Bruce of Dupont, WA, and Chris of Indiana; one sister, Rachel Meidinger, Pierre; two brothers, Burdette Anderson, Mobridge, and Charles Anderson, San Carlos, CA; and a special friend, Margaret O'Connor Fortin, Glendale, CA.

Leonard Anglin

Leonard Anglin, 71, Vermillion, died Tuesday, April 1, 2003 at the Sioux Valley Vermillion Care Center. Arrangements are pending with Hansen Funeral Home in Vermillion.

James Oag

James Oag, 90, Vermillion, died Tuesday, April 1, 2003 at Sioux Valley Vermillion Hospital. Arrangements are pending with Hansen Funeral Home in Vermillion.

Merwyn Willett

Merwyn Jay Willett, 85, Vermillion, died Tuesday, March 18, 2003 at Matney's Colonial Manor, South Sioux City, NE.

Funeral services were 2 p.m. March 24 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Vermillion, with the Rev. Ed Anderson officiating. Burial was in BluffView Cemetery, Vermillion.

Visitation was from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday, March 23 with the family present from 7 to 8 p.m., at Iverson-Siecke Funeral Home, Vermillion.

Mr. Willett was born Dec. 5, 1917, in Milbank to Lemmy and Audrey (Gordon) Willett. He was owner and operator of Willetts Electrical & Refrigeration Service in Vermillion for many years. He was one of the founders of the F.O.E. Club in Vermillion.

On Aug. 31, 1940, he married Helen Sherk in Crofton, NE. He had lived in Vermillion for 60 years.

He was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church, Vermillion.

He is survived by his wife, Helen, South Sioux City, NE; two daughters, Diane Swensen, Lake Havasu, AZ, and Debbie Woten, South Sioux City; a sister, Irma Herried, Vermillion; a brother, Merrill Willett, Spearfish; three grandchildren and one great-grandson.
