Computer classes bring adults to Wakonda High by Ashley Anderson Cheryl Knudson, Wakonda's guidance counselor and F.A.C.S. teacher of 23 years, has volunteered her computer knowledge to give free computer classes to adults.
Eighteen community members took advantage of Knudson's generosity and of the newly built computer lab
adjacent to the new community/school library. This class started Thursday, April 6 and costs nothing. They try to meet every Thursday from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.
"The school felt that it would be a nice way for the community to see the new addition, and to see the new computer lab," said Knudson.
This has helped bring the community into the schools a partnership that is vital to successful education and community development.
