Fund established for Aiden Leber family As some of you know, Aiden Leber, the 3-month-old son of Aaron and Shannon Leber (and grandson of Al and Han Leber), was diagnosed in February with a primitive neuro-ectodermal tumor (PNET) of the brain. The tumor was roughly 20 percent the size of his brain and after a 10-hour surgery, 90 percent of the tumor was removed.
A week later a second surgery for a small non-tumorous growth was performed. He has had to fight infections and swelling of the brain but just keeps on fighting.
Aiden was transferred to St. Jude's Children's Hospital in Memphis, TN from the Lebers' home in Louisville, KY for further treatment and has since been moved to the St. Jude's Cancer Hospital where he is undergoing chemotherapy. He has just begun his second round of chemo this week.
The Lebers express their thanks and amazement at the outpouring of cards, e-mails and prayers sent. They have had to move from Memphis to Target House for the next 9 to 12 months from their home in Louisville, KY.
As a young couple starting out this has been overwhelming personally and financially. If you wish to donate to the Aiden Leber Fund or to send cards, letters, and help to them directly please send them to: Aiden Leber Fund, 602 Harris Place, Louisville, KY 40222 or Aaron and Shannon Leber, c/o Target House, 1811 Poplar Ave., Apt. 405, Memphis, TN 38104.
