Lewis and Clark Rural Water to host informational event Lewis & Clark Rural Water System will host an information Landowner Open House in Vermillion from 7 to 9 p.m. on Wednesday evening, May 14 at the National Guard Armory Auditorium (603 Princeton St.). All interested parties are invited to attend.
A similar meeting was held last May. The purpose of the open house is to update landowners in Clay County on the progress of the project and anticipated construction activities, as well as answer their questions.
Construction on the 400-miles water pipeline will begin this summer. A groundbreaking ceremony is being planned for Saturday morning, Aug. 23.
"It's a top priority for us to keep landowners updated on the project and construction activities, as well as ensure they have ample opportunity to have their questions answered. Maintaining good communication with landowners will be key to the success of this vital project," said Troy Larson, executive director of Lewis & Clark Rural Water System.
