SDPB Radio features South Dakota talent

SDPB Radio features South Dakota talent South Dakota Public Broadcasting will feature a South Dakota jazz favorite, the Black Hills Dixieland Jazz Band, during its popular radio program Jazz Nightly with Jim Clark. The band will be part of live broadcasts from the historic Franklin Hotel in Deadwood on Thursday, June 5, and Friday, June 6, from 6:30 to 10 p.m.

The Black Hills Dixieland Jazz Band is featured regularly at the Franklin Hotel. Some members of the band have been playing jazz tunes since the 1930s.

Jazz Nightly with Jim Clark is broadcast at 7:30 p.m. Monday through Friday on SDPB Radio. Jazz Nightly features the best of the new instrumental releases and vocalists, big band and jazz orchestras, bossa nova and Latin jazz. Clark also hosts Jim's Jazz Gems heard Sundays at 6 p.m. on SDPB Radio.
