Tanager boys place second by Jim Prosser The Tanager boys' track team placed second among seven schools represented at the rescheduled Lennox Invite on Tuesday, April 29.
Final standings were: First � Lennox (148); second � Vermillion (90); third � Sioux Falls Christian (73); fourth � Canton (72); fifth � Dakota Valley (68); sixth � Freeman (60); seventh � Parker (46).
Field events results for Vermillion were: Discus: third � Brad Simon, fourth � Jordan Anderson; shot put: third � Kellen Cusick, fifth � Anderson; high jump: second � Jerad Hesla; long jump: fourth � Jared Burcham; triple jump: third � Burcham.
B.J. Campbell placed third in the 100m dash and second in the 200m dash. In the distance runs, the 1600m was won by Justin Manning (05:05.20).
The 4×100 relay team placed fourth (Campbell, Burcham, Anderson, Derrick Brown). The 4×200 relay the team of Campbell, Cusick, Bart Miller, and Ben Oberle placed second. The 4×400 relay team was first with a 3:43 (B. Miller, Brown, Cusick, and Oberle). The 4×800 relay team of B. Miller, Craig Powell, J. Manning, and Brown was second.
