Gale competing at national finals rodeo Casey Gale hopes to ride his way to the top as he competes in the College National Finals Rodeo in Caspar, WY June 8-14.
Gale, a student at Central Wyoming College, Riverton, WY, needed to place in the top 10 in the Central Rocky Mountain Region to qualify for the college playoffs. The region is made up of eight area colleges.
The playoffs, consisting of competitors from three regions, were held May 28-31 in Bozeman, MT. Gale placed fifth in the bareback competition, which will enable him to participate in the national finals rodeo.
Gale and the other bronc busters at the nationals are competing for the college national title and thousands of dollars in scholarships.
He is the son of Kelly and Loretta Gale of rural Vermillion, and completed his freshman year at Central Wyoming College with a 3.8 GPA.
