Light serving at NeSoDak Jeri Light, a student at Augustana College, has been chosen to serve as a camp staff at NeSoDak of Lutherans Outdoors in South Dakota.
She is the daughter of Jerry and Stephanie Light of Wakonda.
She along with 32 others will provide first-through eighth-graders with experiences to discover and reflect God's love in Christ through worship, study, music and play.
NeSoDak, a waterfront camp on Lake Enemy Swim near Waubay, is a year round facility that is host to a variety of adult and youth groups, environmental education and home to 10 weeks of youth camp for grades 3-8.
NeSoDak is only one of five sites in South Dakota. Outlaw Ranch in the midst of the Black Hills near Custer is open year round and also hosts a variety of groups as well as youth camp and family camp during the summer; Atlantic Mountain Ranch, also in the Black Hills, is a rustic experience that offers a variety of high adventure activities for youth 6-12; and Klein Ranch, an authentic western horse ranch, is set in northwestern South Dakota on the wide open prairies on the Grand River valley for youth 6-12.
Joy Ranch, located outside of Watertown, is a new site that will provide a retreat center and special needs camping opportunities in South Dakota.
