Penny & Pals concert is June 22 in Vermillion Penny & Pals will perform 7 p.m. Sunday, June 22, in the Vermillion High School Auditorium.

This performance is free and is sponsored by the Vermillion Parks and Recreation Department.

Penny & Pals treat their young audiences to playful, interactive songs that they deliver with energy and wit. On stage, they bring to life characters from their line of original music, Kids Kollectibles. These engaging characters, like Bernie T. Bear and Rockin' Robot, invite children to "get up 'n moving" during the concert.

Penny & Pals have an uncanny ability to literally "sweep kids off their feet." Their unique combination of catchy tunes, costumed characters and audience participation is recognized as tops in family entertainment.

Based in Fargo, ND, Kids Kollectibles Music is nationally acclaimed for its excellence. In fact, every single recording of original music by composers/performers Penny Andrist and Gail Benson has garnered a national or international award.

These include two Parents' Choice winners for outstanding audio achievement, a Parent Council selection for material which is outstanding from a learning perspective, Parents' Guide to Media Award, National Safety Council First Place and the International Reading Association's "Celebrate Literacy" Award. Most recently they received a Communicator Award, an international competition with entries from 47 countries, for their newest video production.

They published works, which will be available at the show, include two videos, five audio recordings and many other commissioned works. Now in their 13th year of touring, Andrist and Benson travel year-round performing over 120 shows annually at parks, festivals, fairs, special family events, libraries and schools.
