Summer programs at Mount Rushmore Superintendent Don Striker has announced that the summer program schedule for Mount Rushmore National Memorial became effective on Mother's Day weekend.
Beginning May 11, the Memorial's Lincoln Borglum Museum is open from 8 a.m to 10 p.m. daily. The Evening Lighting Ceremony is held each evening at 9 p.m. in the amphitheater. The park's Information Center is open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily. The historic Sculptor's Studio is open from 1 to 5 p.m.
The park will launch its full summer schedule Sunday, June 1. The Lincoln Borglum Museum, as well as the Information Center, will be open daily from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. the historic Sculptor's Studio will be open daily from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Guided walks on the Presidential Trail and ranger talks at the studio will be presented throughout the day. The Evening Lighting Program will take place every night at 9 p.m This schedule will be in effect through August.
