United Way announces 'Hole in One' fund raiser United Way of Vermillion announces its first annual "Hole in One" fund raiser. The event will take place at The Bluffs Golf Course in Vermillion. Two qualifying rounds will be held on June 25 and 26 from 5 to 7 p.m., with the final round being held on June 27 at 5:30 p.m.
The three people that put their ball closest to the hole on the two qualifying days will have a chance to shoot a hole in one to win the $500,000 prize being offered by Hole In One International.
All proceeds from the sale of tickets will benefit the over 20 local agencies supported by the United Way of Vermillion.
Tickets are available at the Vermillion Area Chamber of Commerce and Development Company, or by contacting any of the United Way board members. United Way Board of Directors are Randy Houska, president; Jon Roberston, vice-president; Janis Johnson, secretary/treasurer; Deb Christensen, Kate Getty, Gary Girard, John Gors, Lisa Ketcham, Bob Mayer, Mary Merrigan, Ted Muenster, Connie Nelsen, Phyllis Packard, Chuck Schwartz, Theresa Wingen and USD student liaison, Lexi Omdahl Tracy.
Tickets are also currently available at The Bluffs Golf Course and will be through the two pre-qualifying rounds. Tickets are $5 each or five for $20. Each ticket entitles the player to one shot to put his/her ball closest to the hole. Please show your support for the United Way of Vermillion and purchase your ticket today.
