Clay County 4-H cat show held June 8 in Vermillion Five Clay County 4-H members demonstrated their project knowledge and showmanship skills during the County 4-H Cat Show held on Sunday, June 8 at the 4-H Center, Vermillion.
Purple ribbon winners will be able to compete at the State 4-H Cat Show to be held in Huron on Sunday, Aug. 3.
Best of Show awards were earned by: Taylor Geu, beginner division; Katie Sokolowski, junior division; Kelly O'Dea, junior healthy cat and kitten division; Amy Luxem, senior healthy cat division.
Ribbon placings were as follows: Beginner Showmanship: Purple � Taylor Geu; Junior Showmanship: Purple � Jill Blumer, Kelly O'Dea, Katie Sokolowski; Junior Health Cat: Purple � Taylor Geu, Jill Blumer, Kelly O'Dea, Katie Sokolowski; Senior Healthy Cat: Purple � Amy Luxem; Junior Healthy Kitten: Purple � Kelly O'Dea.
Betty Held and Cathy Washburn, both of Sioux City, IA, served as judges for the event.
