Clubs SONS meets at Riverside Park
SONS, Lillehammer Lodge 1-633, met at Riverside Park in Yankton on Tuesday, July 15 at 6:30 p.m. for our picnic.
Our new bylaws were read by President Carol Broderson, and passed and approved by giving the sign of order.
Many delicious foods were enjoyed, which were brought by members.
Happy Birthday was sung to our birthday members. After our picnic many of our members enjoyed the concert at Riverside Park. The Copper Smiths gave us an evening of some great polka tunes.
New business that was discussed was ideas for our float for Riverboat Days in Yankton. Our next meeting will be on Aug. 20 at 7 p.m. at Christ the King Lutheran Church. Our program will be a musical by the Sorenson Family of Irene.
Senior Center hosts cards, dominoes
Tuesday, July 15, 11 domino players were at the Senior Citizens Center. Winners were Marlene Amundson and Dick Munkvold at each of the two tables.
Wednesday, July 16, four pinochle, 20 pitch, and 16 bridge players were at the Senior Center. Bridge winners were Marlys Miller, first; Max Christal, second; Barb Kronaizl, third; Luceal Liffengran, blind bogie; and Maurice Erickson, low.
Servers of the refreshments were Rosalie Hubert, Eleanor Offerdahl, Margaret Melby, Margaret Bierle, and Lois Ballard.
