FNB/V scores another runaway by Jim Prosser The FNB/V continued their winning ways as they scored another win over the Yankton Dodgers in Babe Ruth League action last week at Prentis Park on Monday, July 7.
The game was highlighted by a combined one-hit shutout by winning pitcher Jordan Boots who went three innings and gave up the only hit as he registered five Ks and three BBs.
Jordan Merrigan recorded a save with his shutout two-inning stint including two Ks.
The home team was held to only two hits themselves but took advantage of 12 walks which catapulted them to the 13-0, five-inning result.
Line score: FNB(V) � 13 runs, 2 hits, 1 error; Dodgers � 0 runs, 1 hit, 3 errors.
The First National Bank's two hits were a double from Boots and a Gabe Verbeski single. The win gives FNB a season record, 10-3.
