Lutheran Social Services announces staff appointments Lutheran Social Services South Dakota (LSSSD), with offices located at Trinity Lutheran Church, 816 E. Clark, Vermillion, announces the appointments of Scott Moeller and Carol Voss-Ward to staff positions with the Vermillion Counseling Center and Consumer Credit Counseling Service (CCCS).

LSS is a comprehensive family service agency providing guidance, hope and healing to people of all faiths without regard to race or ethnic origin.

Moeller, MS, LPC-MH, LMFT, holds the position of clinical therapist at the Vermillion Counseling Center. Moeller specializes in individual therapy, family counseling and youth behavioral problems. Moeller spoke at the Learning Disabilities State Conference in Sioux Falls last month.

Voss-Ward assumes the position of credit counselor for Consumer Credit Counseling Services (CCCS). As a program of Lutheran Social Services, CCCS has been serving South Dakota families since 1983. CCCS is dedicated to educating consumers about financial fitness, housing and the wise use of credit.

CCCS clients receive a thorough financial review and written action plan tailored to their unique situation. Community education classes designed to teach and hone financial skills are regularly scheduled and available to clients and the public.

Voss-Ward is qualified to facilitate these classes as well as HUD certified housing education classes, giving consumers the information and tools necessary to make well-informed decisions about homeownership.

LSSSD is a United Way Agency, licensed by the state of South Dakota and accredited by the Council on Accreditation of Services for Families and Children, Inc. Additionally, CCCS is a member of the National Federation for Credit Counseling, (NFCC), the nation's oldest and largest network of non-profit credit counseling agencies, and a HUD certified housing counseling agency.
