BBQ, ice cream social coming up The annual BBQ fund raiser for Burbank Historical School will be held Saturday, Aug. 9, from 5 to 7:30 p.m. at the schoolhouse. Cost is $6 for adults and $3 for children. Kids under age 4 will be admitted free. A drawing for a side of beef will be held.
Bergen Lutheran Church has also scheduled its ice cream social Wednesday, Aug. 13, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Taverns, pie, and ice cream will be served. Matching funds will be provided by Thrivent Financial. Bergen Lutheran Church is located on Timber Road seven miles west of Vermillion.
