Expect the unexpected at Bull-A-Rama Sept. 7 For a decade now, the Vermillion community has grown to expect an afternoon of high quality bullriding at the annual Bull-A-Rama, sponsored by Coyote Country Rodeo, Inc.
On Sept. 7, local residents can expect the unexpected.
The 10th annual Bull-A-Rama will host the Extreme Bullriding Tour 2003.
It will be a production with thunderous displays of pyrotechnics, accompanied by sound effects and smoke effects.
The Bull-A-Rama event will begin at 2 p.m. at the Clay County Park Rodeo Arena two miles west of Vermillion on Timber Road.
Admission is $10 at the gate. Advance and senior citizen tickets are $8. Children ages 7 to 12 get in for $4. There is no charge for kids 6 and under.
The Double S Bull Company and White Buffalo Productions have added Vermillion to their tour list of 25 Extreme Bullriding stops.
Shad and Vicki Smith of Sydney, IA own the Double S Bull Company, which has supplied stock in over 200 bull ridings and rodeos in 10 different states.
Double S Bulls provided stock to the 2002 PBR World Finals. The list of contestants riding in the Extreme Bullriding tour reads like a who's who of the PBR.
