Local library part of statewide reading program The Vermillion Public Library will be participating in the One Book South Dakota statewide reading program and would like to encourage anyone interested to take part.
Participants can check out a copy of the chosen book, Peace Like a River by Leif Enger, at the library circulation desk. The discussion is set for Sunday, Sept. 14, at 3 p.m. at the library and will be guided by scholar Jamie Sullivan.
Enger was raised in Osakis, MN, and worked for Minnesota Public Radio for nearly 20 years. He currently lives on a farm in Minnesota with his wife and two sons. His national bestseller, Peace Like a River, is a novel set in Minnesota and North Dakota in the early 1960s and is filled with family love, faith and miracles.
