Tanager tennis team opens season in quadrangular by Jim Prosser On Saturday, Aug. 23, the Tanager girls' tennis team met three very tough opponents, including Rapid City Stevens, the current state champ, in a quadrangular. The event was held in the new courts at Summit Center sports complex in Yankton to open the 2003 season.
"For our first matches of the season, I was extremely pleased with how everyone played," said coach Barb Rickord. "We have four new varsity players this year three of whom are middle school students. All of the Tanager players showed a lot of class and potential against their adversaries.
