USD will honor students in military

USD will honor students in military The Department of Military Science at USD in conjunction with the university administration will hold a recognition ceremony Wednesday, Sept. 3 at 9 a.m. for the university students who were called to military service during the past year.

Students will be recognized through a roll call of names read during the ceremony.

Major Damian Donahoe will present a flag to the University of South Dakota ROTC battalion.

The flag was flown by an Air Force F-15E Strike Eagle crew during one of their missions over Iraq.

The professor of military science and university officials will give comments to recognize the sacrifices of the military members called to duty.

The public is invited to this event.
