Vermillion Little League ends season Vermillion closed its 2003 season with awards night at the Westside Little League in Sioux City.
The team finished in third place out of nine teams with a record of 12-6. Two of Vermillion's losses were in extra innings and three others were decided by two runs or less.
Highlights for the team this season were:
* They were the only team to defeat the champion of the Westside Little League.
* They held their opponents scoreless for 18 consecutive innings.
* They placed second in two tournaments.
* They had four shut-outs for the year.
Vermillion finishes the year at 30-14.
