Choral festival to be held at USD The first annual USD Choral Festival, involving 200 high school choral musicians from South Dakota, will be held Monday, Sept. 29 at the Coyote Student Center and Slagle Auditorium.
The festival will feature the music selected for the 2003 South Dakota All State Chorus. During the day, the singers will participate in rehearsals, vocal masterclasses, take campus tours and present a grand finale concert in Slagle Auditorium at 4:30 p.m. Choral directors will attend several workshops throughout the day, and the USD Chamber Singers and Concert Choir will perform for the students and directors.
Dr. Matthew harden, Professor Christopher Mitchell and Dr. Sue Ann Stutheit are conductors for the 4:30 p.m. Festival Concert, which is free and open to the public.
