Girls' and boys' cross country teams participate in meet at EROS Data Center campus by Jim Prosser Both the Tanager girls' and boys' cross country teams ran at the Augustana/EROS Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 13. The event was a 4000 M (girls) and 5000 M (boys) EROS Data Center Campus layout.

Sixteen schools from a wide three-state area competed in both divisions, 135 individual girl runners, and 151 boys.

The top two teams in the 4K race were Rapid City Stevens and Yankton. Yankton's Ramsey Kavan won the girls' run with a record setting time 13:27. Vermillion placed 14th overall and the Tanager girls' individual results were: #52 � Katarina Gombocz, #67 � Emily Renner, #77 � Theresa Ring, #86 � Tera Dehner, #92 � Sarah Plate, #94 � Nicki Nelson, and #100 � Kayla Mollet.

Boys' top two teams for the 5K meter run were Fargo South and Yankton. Severyn Claymore (Fargo S) at 15:49 was the champion.

Vermillion placed 11th among the 16 boys teams. Tanager placers were: #27 � Justin Manning (17:18); #47 � Craig Powell; #62 � Chad Teigen; #66 � A.J. Manning; #92 � C.J.Harden; #93 � Caleb Berry; and #96 � Raleigh Tiahart.
