Wakonda Library will host two book discussions Thanks to the South Dakota Humanities Council, the Wakonda Library will host reading book discussions in October.
The first discussion, led by Nancy Moose of Madison, will be held from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 1. There will be a short video shown and a distribution of books at this meeting.
Other meetings in October will dedicated to book discussions. The Oct. 8 and Oct. 15 sessions, each scheduled from 5:30 to 7 p.m., will be focus on two books: Feels Like Far, by Linda Hasselstrom, who lives in South Dakota, and Giants in the Earth; A Saga of the Prairie by O.E. Rolvaag, whose book is a story of the struggles of Norwegian pioneer life in Dakota Territory.
