Exchange vows Michelle Elizabeth Mehlhaf and James Walter Grossmann were united in marriage on July 19, at Zion Reformed Church in Menno. Parents of the couple are Allen and Delila Mehlhaf of Menno, and Rev. Robert and Pauline Grossmann of Vermillion. Rev. Hans Kalkman officiated, and the father of the groom gave the ceremony sermon.
The maid of honor was Rachel Mehlhaf, sister of the bride. Laura Stern, sister of the bride, acted as the matron of honor. Karla Mehlhaf, cousin of the bride, was the bridesmaid. The groom's best man was Jonathon Grossmann, brother of the groom, and groomsmen were Harry Groenendyk and Jay Kroese. Both groomsmen are brothers-in-law of the groom.
Flower girl was Journey Mehlhaf, niece of bride. Ushers were Paul Berghaus, David Mehlhaf and Christopher Mehlhaf.
The couple currently makes their home in Worth, Il (suburb of Chicago), and attend school full time. The groom is a second year student at Mid-America Reformed Seminary, and will graduate in spring of 2005. The bride is a sophomore at Trinity Christian College, majoring in mathematics and English.
