Local bike-a-thon raises funds for St. Jude Hospital by Lindsay Nelson On Saturday, Sept. 27, kids of all ages participated in a St. Jude Bike-a-thon in Wakonda.
Alexis Logue gathered the most pledges of $220. The kids rode their bikes for an accumulated number of 58 miles. Kyle Stockland led the kids with 12 miles followed by Justin Ostrem and Jordan Jorgenson who rode for 8 and 7 miles, respectively.
Jane Luxem was in charge of the event. Luxem thanks all the sponsors and the freshmen of Wakonda who helped put on the event and made the day great.
The day turned out to be a fun day for all with the community coming together to help St. Jude Hospital.
