Music museum featured on PBS The National Music Museum on the campus of The University of South Dakota in Vermillion will open the 2003-2004 season of Great Museums, showing on South Dakota Public Television, Sunday, Oct. 26, at 4 p.m.
The segment, "National Music Museum: America's Shrine to Music," will be the first program in the second season of the national public television series, Great Museums, which has featured such attractions as the Smithsonian National Museum of the American Indian, the National D-Day Museum in New Orleans, the Institute of Texan Culture in San Antonio, and the Library of Congress in Washington, DC.
Filmed for high definition television at the National Music Museum in Vermillion last January, the film was directed and edited by Don Smith, senior executive editor for CNN in Atlanta.
