Tanager volleyball team falls to Madison 3-0 by Jim Prosser The Vermillion volleyball team lost to Madison last Tuesday night, Oct. 7, in the VHS gym, when they in a three-game varsity match 22-25, 15-25, 21-25.
The freshman team results were not available at this time.
Individual stats for the varsity team were: Colette Joy � 5 K, 11 D; Ellen Odson led the offense with 17 SA; Jackie Thomas � 5 K, 10 D, 15 POS, 3 aces; Melissa Olson � 15 POS, 3 aces, 4 B; Jordan Meyer � 13 POS, 3 aces; A, 7 K, 4 B, 17 D, 14 POS; and Michelle Olson � 13 D, 3 B.
The JV Madison match was a loss 25-22, 25-20. Leaders were: Heather Walker � 10 POS, 3 aces, 6 D; Kelsie Austin � 2 K, 5 D; Brittany Campbell � 6 SA; Brittany Weydert 3 K; Kinsey Weydert � 2 SA; Becky Hanson � 16 POS, 3 aces; Paige Prosser � 2 K; Erin Austin � 3 D.
The JV season record is 7-6 as their five straight match win streak was terminated.
The Tanager varsity record stands at 5-16 and they faced Canton Thursday, Oct. 16
