What's Happening October 13

Native American Day Holiday. No classes at USD or Vermillion Public Schools.

October 14

Vermillion Boys & girls junior varsity cross country competes at the Yankton JV Invitational at Yankton, 4:15 p.m.

"The Psychology of Evil and the Politics of Fear," presented by Dr. Philip G. Zimbardo, 7 p.m., Slagle Hall.

October 15

Graduate and Professional Fair, 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., Coyote Student Center, USD. Recruiters from various graduate schools, including USD, will be present to answer students' questions.

President's State of the University Address by USD President James W. Abbott, 4 p.m., Wayne S. Knutson Theatre.

"The Supreme Court in American Life," presented by Judge Kenneth W. Starr, 7 p.m., Slagle Hall. From August 1994 to Oct. 1999, Starr served as independent counsel on the Whitewater investigation during the Clinton Administration

October 16

Job Fair at Coyote Student Center, USD, 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The event is especially for 2003 grads, but is also a great opportunity for all seniors to visit with employers.

Vermillion freshman football vs. Sioux Falls Washington, 4:15 p.m.

Vermillion freshman, junior varsity and varsity volleyball vs. Canton, 5 p.m.

October 17

Boys and girls cross country Region 3A meet at Lennox, 3 p.m.

The University of South Dakota women's soccer team will host SDSU in Vermillion, Dakota Dome Soccer Field, 4 p.m.

Tanager varsity football vs. Madison, 7:30 p.m.

USD Rawlins Piano Trio performs in Old Main at 8 p.m.

Oct. 18

USD football vs. St. Cloud State University at Selke Field in St. Paul, MN, starting at 1 p.m.

The USD women's volleyball team will play against University of Nebraska-Omaha in Omaha, 7 p.m.

The USD men's and women's cross-country teams will participate in the North Central Conference Championship, Fargo, ND.

Quad State Marching Competition, Dakota Dome, USD.
