Legislative forum scheduled Nov. 25 An area legislative forum, hosted by the Southeast Area Cooperative, is planned for Tuesday, Nov. 25, at Beresford High School.
The focus of the forum will be on legislative matters, issues/topics relevant to education for the upcoming 2004 legislative session and local school districts input to legislators.
A dinner will begin at 6 p.m., with a legislative forum at 6:45 p.m. Legislators from District 16 (Sen. Ken Albers, Rep. Mike Broderick, and Rep. Margaret Vandemore-Gillespie); District 17 (Sen. John (Joe) Reedy, Rep. Donna Schaefer, and Rep. B. J. Nesselhuff); and District 18 (Sen. Garry Moore, Rep. Matthew Michels, and Rep. Jean M. Hunhoff) have been invited to attend.
Area school board members and administrators from the following school districts have been invited to attend: Alcester-Hudson, Beresford, Canton, Centerville, Cornbelt Cooperative, Dakota Valley, Elk Point-Jefferson, Gayville-Volin, Harrisburg, Hurley, Irene, Lennox, Parker, Tea, Vermillion, Viborg, Yankton, and Wakonda.
The public is invited to attend the public forum at 6:45 p.m. at Beresford High School.
