Obituaries Marvin Larson
Marvin L. Larson, 91, Urbandale, IA, and formerly of Vermillion, died Saturday, Nov. 1, 2003 at his residence.
Graveside services were 2 p.m. Nov. 5 at BluffView Cemetery, Vermillion. Burial was at BluffView Cemetery, with military rites by the Vermillion VFW Clay Post 3061.
Visitation was from 1 to 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Iverson-Siecke Funeral Home, Vermillion.
He was born Sept. 29, 1912, at Gayville, to M.L. and Hilda (Olson) Larson. He graduated from The University of South Dakota. He married Dorothy McDonald in July 1940, at Vermillion. He served in the Army in World War II. He was a high school principal at Hampton, IA, and superintendent at Gayville High School. His wife died Dec. 22, 1996.
He is survived by his daughter, Judyth Binnebose, Newark, DE; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
