WHS puts up tough battle against BHS Watchdogs by Lindsay Nelson The Warriorettes met up with the Beresford Watchdogs in their last regular game of the season before district play.
The Watchdogs overcame the Warriorettes and won the game 3-2 with match scores of 21-25, 26-24, 25-14, 19-25, and 15-10.
Lindsay Nelson led from the service line with 18 points, four of which were aces. Next was Tiffany Ganschow with 10 service points and four aces.
Nikki Johnston and Kim Henriksen dominated at the net with 12 and 5 kills respectively. Johnston also had three solo blocks and Henriksen had two.
On the defensive side of the court, the Warriorettes didn't allow many of Beresford's spikes to hit the floor. Emily Logue led the Warriorettes with 18 digs followed by Henriksen with 15 and Johnston with 14.
Chelsa Bohlmann set the Warriorettes on fire with 83 made sets, 69 of which assisted a Warriorette kill.
Wakonda's C team went 1-1 with Beresford for a tie and the B team won in three matches.
