Daschle representative to visit Clay County Senator Tom Daschle has announced that a staff member from his Sioux Falls Senate office will visit Clay County on Tuesday, Dec. 9.
Stephanie Devitt, outreach coordinator for Sen. Daschle, will meet with seniors, farmers, community leaders, and representatives of area programs while in the area to discuss economic development, health care and other issues of interest to Clay County residents.
Senator Daschle said the intent of his staff member's visit is to get feedback from people on issues of concern.
"I am looking forward to visiting with people throughout the area to gather their perspectives on healthcare and other important issues," Devitt said. "It is an opportunity to learn what area residents care about and share that with Senator Daschle, who has made input from constituents a cornerstone of his efforts to represent the people of South Dakota in Washington."
To set up a meeting with Sen. Daschle's staff member while she is in the area, please call Devitt at (605) 334-9596 or email her at firstname.lastname@example.org. South Dakotans are invited to call the senator's toll-free line (800-424-9094) to relay a message to Sen. Daschle or a member of his staff.
Due to the October 2001 anthrax attack on the senator's office, mail delivery to all of his offices both in Washington and South Dakota is subject to delays. As a result, constituents needing assistance are encouraged to either call or email the senator's office to expedite service.
