Wakonda students will stage one act play by Ally Eckert Naomi in the Living Room. That's the title of Wakonda High School's one-act play this year. The play about a husband and wife, who go to visit his parents, is a comedy that will be sure to entertain.
In this play there are four roles, Leonard, the father, played by freshman Andy Jenson; Naomi, the not quite sane mother, played by junior Erin Spurrell; and the husband and wife, John and Johnna, played by freshman Patrick Morrison and senior Emily Logue.
This play also has two understudies, juniors Alex Nielson and Jeanie Stockland, who will also double as the student directors.
The director of this comedy is Sarah Loeber, a theatre major at USD. Loeber first directed at USD and also took a directing class.
She decided to direct at Wakonda to broaden her horizon and for the experience. Also because, "I like to share theatre with the world," Loeber said.
