King is NCC Player of Week Senior forward Tommie King of the South Dakota men's basketball team was named North Central Conference Player of the Week, according to an announcement by the league office Monday.
King, a native of Seattle, WA, averaged 32.0 points, 3.5 rebounds and 3.0 assists in USD's wins over Minnesota State and St. Cloud State over the weekend.
King hit 62.2 percent of his shots from the field (28-of-45) en route to scoring a season-high 32 points against both MSU and SCSU. He also connected on all eight of his free-throw attempts.
For the season, King leads the NCC in scoring, averaging 22.9 points per game.
South Dakota returns to action Saturday against Nebraska-Omaha starting at 8 p.m. at the DakotaDome.
