Vermillion Wrestling Club teaches skills to young athletes Thirteen Junior High wrestlers have been participating in a new wrestling program at Vermillion High School. The Vermillion Wrestling Club started a Junior High wrestling program this year that allows sixth-, seventh, and eighth- graders to gain valuable skills and mat time.
The wrestlers have been practicing everyday since Dec. 1. Practice starts at 4 p.m. and goes until 5:15 p.m. During this time wrestlers practice techniques from the neutral position, top, and bottom.
The wrestlers have been working extremely hard in the room and their hard work and determination will show up on the wrestling mat during their varsity careers. If anyone is interesting in joining the junior high wrestlers in the wrestling room feel free to contact Gabe Devitt at Austin Elementary.
